The Islanders' were led by Keith Monias with 2 goals and Brandon McKay, who scored a goal and dished out 1 assist. Tory Monias stopped 30 shots in the game.
Upcoming action in the KJHL begins on Tuesday night as the Lundar Falcons head to Mosienko to play the Satelites. Play continues Thursday night when the Cross Lake Islanders play host to the Norway House North Stars and St. Malo hosts Lundar. Friday evening has two games on the schedule as Peguis and Fisher River clash and Selkirk heads to Arborg. Saturday night pits the St. Malo Warriors in Cross Lake and the North Winnipeg Satelites head to OCN. Sunday sees eight of the ten teams in action: St. Malo is in Norway House, Lundar is in Arborg, Peguis hosts North Winnipeg and OCN sees Fisher River head North.
