This week's action began Wednesday night, as the Cross Lake Islanders visited the Norway House North Stars.

Cross Lake 5 - Norway House 4

Tyrell Armstrong led the Islanders with 2 goals and an assist.  Keith Monias added a goal & 2 assists.  Kirk Robinson and Tyler Monias both scored single goals.  Tory Monias stopped 34 of the 38 shots he faced to earn the win.

Durrel Rots scored a goal and added an assist for the North Stars.  Conley Spence, Michael Clarke and Vergus Chartier all scored single goals.  Brendan McLeod faced 46 shots in the game, stopping 41 of them.

Action continued Thursday night, as the Arborg Ice Dawgs played host to the Peguis Juniors.

Arborg 5 - Peguis 2

The Ice Dawgs were led by Clint Torfasson who scored once and added 2 asissts.  Cal Finnson finished with 2 assists.  Jordan Kristjanson, Derric Gulay, Spencer Kilbrei and Colton Davies are scored single goals.  Dylan Ossachuk stopped 41 of 43 shots to earn the win.

Both Peguis goals were scored by Quinton Flett.  Luke Penner turned aside 36 of the 41 shots he faced.

Friday evening had three games on the docket.

Fisher River 5 - North Winnipeg 3

Darryl Thaddeus paced the Hawks with 3 goals.  Brennan Cochrane added a goal and 2 assists.  Nolan Favel turned aside 36 of the 39 shots fired his way for the win.

Kyle Pache scored once and dished out 1 assist to lead the Satelites.  Wyatt Emes stopped 39 shots in the game.

Lundar 11 - Norway House 4

Landen Gray had a stellar night, scoring 5 times and adding 4 assists to lead the Falcons.  Dennon Sichewsky scored twice and added an assist.  Brandon Worthing, Craig Weiss, Shayne Desjarlais, and Jack Clinton all finished with 2 points.  Travis Rigden made 24 stops in the game to earn the victory.

Braden Simpson scored twice for the North Stars.  Hunter York added a goal and an assist.  Brendan McLeod faced 50 shots, stopping 39 of them.

St. Malo 17 - Cross Lake 3

The Warriors were led by  Riley Hunter who scored 3 times and added 4 assists.  Elmar Tabler also scored 3 times and added 2 assists, while Jared Magne scored twice and chipped in with 3 assists.  Jared Hunter scored a single goal, but dished out 4 helpers.  Nolan McElroy finished with 4 assists.  Brady Allan, Robert Guimond, Brett Jocelyn, Mark Nelson, Dustin Wiebe and Kai Meilleur all tallied 2 points.  Alec St. Georges stopped 16 of the 19 shots he faced for the win.

Treymian Trout led the Islanders with 2 goals and an assist.  Both Tory Monias & Kris Wood-Ross played in the game, combining to stop 28 of the 45 shots they saw.

Saturday also had 3 games on the schedule.

Arborg 7 - Cross Lake 3

Arborg saw Clint Torfason score twice and add 2 assists.  Ryan Pochailo and Spencer Kilbrei both added a goal and an assist.  Jordan Liske faced 38 shots, stopping 35 of them.

Keith Monias led the Islanders with 2 assists.  Tory Monias stopped 43 of the 50 shots thrown at him.

OCN 8 - Peguis 5

The Storm were led by Micheal Markus who scored 3 times and added an assist.  Harold Linklater chipped in with 2 goals and an assist, while Austin Wilkie scored a single goal and dished out 1 assist.  Ron Fiddler turned aside 34 of the 39 shots he faced.

Theoren Spence, Quinton Flett & Devon Garson all scored once for Peguis, while adding an assist each.  Luke Penner stopped 28 of 36 shots sent his way.

Selkirk 11 - Norway House 0

The Fishermen were led by Dane Derewianchuk, who scored once and added 3 assists.  Gordie Longbottom, Griffin Steeves, Talon Kelly & Milan Horanski all finished with 3 points.  Coel Forsyth, Connor Spratt, and Dylan Painchaud-Niemi recorded 2 points each.  Riley Bannerman stopped all 13 shots he faced for the shutout win.

No North Star found the net, however Brendan McLeod faced 73 shots, stopping 62 of them.

Sunday's schedule completed the week with 3 games also.

Peguis 11 - OCN 6

The Juniors got 2 goals and 2 assists from Theoren Spence.  Dylan Stevenson & Tyrome Spence-Bair both scored hat tricks.  Romano Paul and Devon Garson both scored once and added an assist.  Luke Penner turned aside 36 of the 42 shots he faced in the game.

OCN was led by Tony Apetagon with a goal and 4 assists.  Harold Linklater finished with 2 goals and an assist, while Austin Caza chipped in with a goal and an assist.  Anthony Fontaine and Ron Fiddler combined to stop 40 of the 51 shots that Peguis threw at them.

Selkirk 8 - Lundar 2

Selkirk was led by Brayden Kowalchuk with 4 assists.  Auzzie Loewen, Coel Forsyth, Thomas Mironuk, Dawson Courchene, Talon Kelly and Milan Horanski all ended up with 2 points.  Travis Schalk faced 12 shots in the game, stopping 10 of them to earn the win.

Mason Medeiros led the Falcons with a goal and an assist.  Travis Rigden faced 56 shots in the game, stopping 48.

Arborg 16 - Fisher River 3

The Ice Dawgs saw Corbin Pasternak score twice and add 3 assists.  Jordan Woytowich and Derric Gulay both finished with 4 assists.  Braydon Chwartacki added 3 points.  Byron Gard, Ryan Pochailo, Spencer Kilbrei, Clinto Torfason, Tyler Virkus and Colton Davies all finished with 2 points.  Jordan Liske turned aside 41 of the 44 shots he faced to earn the win.

Brennan Cochrane scored 2 goals to lead the Hawks.  Arnold Mason chipped in with 2 assists.  Nolan Favel and Elliot Wilson both played in the game, stopping 48 of the 64 sent their way.

The final action in the KJHL for 2016 will begin on Tuesday night as the Satelites play host to the Falcons.  Wednesday evening sees Cross Lake head to OCN & Fisher River hook up with Peguis.  Thursday night completes the pre-Christmas portion as the Hawks head to Peguis.  There are 2 games afterChristmas, rescheduled from earlier in the season.  The Norway House North Stars will head to Peguis and Fisher River.
