Once the Survivor Series was complete & Norway House had advanced, the Divisional Semi-Finals were able to get going.
In the North Division, the Peguis Juniors played host to the Norway House North Stars.
Game 1: Peguis 12 – Norway House 4
Peguis was led by Waylon Neault with 3 goals & 3 assists, Theoren Spence with 2 goals & 2 assists, Shaquille Houle with 3 goals, Tyler Woodhouse with 2 goals and an assist & Matthew Cameron with 1 goal and 2 assists. Keifer Tacan stopped 30 of the 34 shots he faced.
Norway House was led by Antoni Grieves & Henry Muminawatum with 1 goal and 1 assist each. Jarred Gore stopped 44 of the 56 shots he saw.
Game 2: Peguis 15 – Norway House 1
Peguis was led by Matthew Cameron with 5 goals & Tyler Woodhouse with 3 goals and 2 assists. Keeven Daniels-Webb, Donovan Tanner & Theoren Spence all recorded 3 points. Keifer Tacan stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced.
Norway House lone goal was scored by Mitchell Muskego. Jarred Gore faced 67 shots, stopping 52 of them.
Game 3: Peguis 10 – Norway House 1
Peguis was led by Tyler Woodhouse with 3 goals and 2 assists. Keesin Richard added 3 goals and 1 assist. Theoren Spence dished out 3 assists. Keifer Tacan stopped 26 of the 27 shots in the game.
Norway House was led by Corbin Tait with a goal. Jarred Gore started the game and stopped 23 of the 31 shots he faced. Joey Folster stopped 14 of 16 in the game.
Peguis wins series 3-0.
In the other North Division series, the OCN Storm played the Cross Lake Islanders.
Game 1: OCN 9 – Cross Lake 3
Camacho Lathlin led OCN with 4 goals and 1 assist and Mitchell Tilley added 2 goals and 3 assists. Tyrel Buechert added 1 goal and 2 assists, Nathan Gardner had 3 assists. Luke Penner made 37 saves on 40 shots.
Braeden Boschman led the Islanders with 1 goal and 2 assists. Kris Wood-Ross started the game, stopping 40 of 47 shots. Tory Monias played the final period, stopping 15 of 17 shots.
Game 2: OCN 10 – Cross Lake 7
OCN was led by Mitchell Tilley and Drew Morin with 2 goals and 2 assists each. Bryson Constant, Sam McKay Jr, Camacho Lathlin & Lodie Ipeelie all recorded 3 points. Luke Penner stopped 41 of the 48 shots he faced.
Braeden Boschman scored 4 times and added 2 assists for Cross Lake. Dennis Scatch added 2 goals & 3 assists of his own. Kris Wood-Ross made 46 saves on 56 shots.
Game 3: Cross Lake 4 – OCN 3
Cross Lake was led by Braeden Boschman with a goal and 2 assists. Trent North & Josh Mallet each had 2 assists. Kris Wood-Ross made 15 saves on 18 shots. He was replaced by Tory Monias at the start of the 2
nd. He stopped all 41 shots he faced, earning the win.
OCN got a goal and an assist from Drew Morin, and single goals from Devon Tobacco & Mitchell Tilley. Luke Penner faced 62 shots, stopping 58 of them.
Game 4: OCN 9 – Cross Lake 5
The Storm were led by Camach Lathlin with 3 goals and an assist, along with both Brandon Sinclair-Martin & Sam McKay Jr recording 2 goals and 2 assists each. Lodie Ipeelie had a goal and 2 assists. Luke Penner stopped 50 shots in the game.
Cross Lake’s Braeden Boschman & Brandon McKay both scored 2 goals and added an assist. Tory Monias & Brendan McLeod combined for 68 saves on 77 shots.
OCN wins series 3-1.
Peguis and OCN will meet in the North Division final. Check the schedule and playoff bracket for game times and locations. It will be a Best of 7 matchup, with the winner facing the South Division winner for the KJHL Championship.
